Doug Ward responded to a fellow Columbia 45 owner who was having trouble removing a leaky fuel tank.

It turns out that the tank is glassed in and essentially impossible to remove. Doug bent a healthy lifting rig trying to get his out.

Doug took the only other course of action he could think of - he cut the top off his old tank.

Then he removed the baffle and cleaned out the tank.

He then installed a new, custom-made tank inside his old one.
